A little about this café

It started here.

Our first café opened in New Brunswick in 2013. This Easton Avenue address is where Hidden Grounds began, close to Rutgers and still one of our two cafés on the same street.

On opening day, we waited four hours for our first customer. We had been so busy building the café that we forgot to tell the neighborhood we were open. That wait stayed with us. Making someone feel welcome still matters just as much.
